Capturing the Spirit of Wildlife and the American West
Art has been a lifelong passion and creative foundation for my work. From an early age, I was drawn to exploring a variety of artistic media and developing my skills as a visual storyteller. I later pursued graduate degrees in Medical Illustration and Marketing, which led to a career as a graphic designer in the corporate sales incentive industry.
After becoming a parent, I co-founded and operated my own graphic design business for nearly twenty years. During that time, I continued creating illustrations and personal artwork whenever possible, always maintaining a strong connection to the creative process that first inspired me.
When I eventually stepped away from my business to semi-retire, I embraced the opportunity to return fully to my first love—creating art. Today I primarily work in paint, occasionally using colored pencil as well, to bring my subjects to life through careful attention to detail, light, and character. My work often features wildlife, western icons, beloved pets, and portraits—subjects that allow me to capture both personality and spirit.
My background in medical illustration, marketing, and graphic design has given me a strong foundation in observation, composition, and visual storytelling. These influences continue to shape my fine art, guiding my approach to creating work that is both technically refined and emotionally engaging.
Through my artwork, I hope to create pieces that resonate with collectors and celebrate the beauty, individuality, and spirit found in both animals and people.
Thank you for visiting and for sharing in my artistic journey.
