Artist Statement

My work begins with quiet observation—watching wildlife move through the landscapes they call home. During repeated visits to Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park, I study animals such as bison, bears, wolves, and foxes in their natural environments, paying attention to the subtle behaviors that reveal their character.

Working primarily in acrylic on canvas, I portray wildlife within the landscapes they inhabit. Rather than dramatic encounters, my paintings often capture everyday moments—an alert glance, a pause in the snow, or the calm strength of an animal at rest.

With a background in professional illustration and design, I bring careful attention to composition, light, and detail while allowing the presence of the animal to remain central. My goal is to create paintings that reflect the quiet resilience of wildlife and invite viewers to connect more deeply with the natural world.
